Animal Services
The Village of Wauneta handles Animal Control Calls on a limited basis. We will assist residents with the following issues:
- Dog licensing
- Impounding stray dogs in an effort to discover and contact the dog’s owner
- Barking dog complaints
- Ordinance enforcement
Contact the Chase County Sheriff at 308-882-4748 for the following:
- Dog bites
- Vicious or dangerous dogs
- Loose livestock
The Village of Wauneta requires all dogs over six months of age be licensed annually (January 1). Licenses shall be issued by the Clerk after payment of the licensing fee and proof of current rabies vaccination.
